Viking Appliances

imageErnest Thompson is proud to share a partnership with Builders Source Appliance Gallery of Albuquerque and Santa Fe.  Through this partnership, we welcome Viking customers to visit our Albuquerque Ernest Thompson showroom to see Viking appliances built within full Ernest Thompson concept kitchens.  In the Builders Source Appliance Gallery Santa Fe showroom, we’ve done something new:  this contemporary kitchen design incorporates Viking appliances with eco-friendly St. Charles steel frameless cabinetry and Ernest Thompson fine wood cabinetry.

The Ernest Thompson cabinetry division evolved out of our customers’ requests for high performance, inset door cabinetry with all of the design options and service benefits that we offer our furniture customers.  Similarly, the Viking Range Corporation grew out of a desire for quality residential appliances that perform like their commercial counterparts, but with design and customization options to suit the residential customer. In the 1980s, Viking founder Fred Carl Jr. recognized a growing demand for commercial-quality ranges for residential homes.  The only problem?  They didn’t exist.  After years of research and development, Carl launched the Viking Range Corporation - one of the most successful high performance appliance lines on the market today.

Design Features

Viking offers Designer and Professional lines of ranges, range tops, cooktops, hoods, wall ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and a wide range of high performance small appliances.  Viking appliances are renowned for their numerous customization options, including size, number and type of burners, and finish.  Viking products are available in stainless steel plus an additional 23 design-savvy powdercoated finishes, which coordinate with St. Charles Cabinetry finishes, a member of the Viking Range Corporation’s family of products.  And, like Ernest Thompson products, all Viking appliances are designed and Made in the USA.
